PBS Needs an e-mail tree! In trying to do the anti-crossbow work, trying to alert our members in Texas and Minnesota I only had addresses and phone numbers. Needless to say I couldn’t contact everyone in short order to alert them of issues/pending legislation.
An e-mail tree is a low cost but highly effective tool worth the effort it takes to set it up and maintain. It is most effective when used extremely sparingly and only when clear, decisive action is required. Our e-mail tree will instruct you in exactly what the concern is, what to do and exactly how to do it. These addresses would only be used for official PBS business and red-alerts.
We plan to gather membership e-mail addresses by having the members e-mail me (Mark L. Scott, PBS Anti-Crossbow Chair) MLS32@CORNELL.EDU and Brenda Kisner PROBOWHUNTERS@ROADRUNNER.COM at the main office.
We will also change new applicant forms to ask for e-mail address as well as on renewal to capture e-mail addresses or change of.
In order to serve our membership better and be able to respond quickly to pending legislation and other issues is the goal of gathering members e-mail addresses. We will not give them out or use them for other than official Professional Bowhunters Society business and only when needed.
